A few more interesting thoughts going through my head than the boring work stuff I’m supposed to be thinking of…
Big Birthday Weekend!
Here in Canada, we will be celebrating “Victoria Day” or “The Sovereign’s Birthday” on Monday, May 19th. Queen Victoria‘s birthday was actually May 24th, so this weekend has become known as the “May Two-Four Weekend”. Many people think it has to do more with the fact that beer comes in cases of 24 bottles, and that this weekend is traditionally the first weekend at the cottage. (Officially, Victoria Day is now celebrated on the Monday preceding May 25.)
sumrsnightdream reports that her husband’s birthday is tomorrow and her daughter’s is Sunday.
With all the ToDo with Birthdays going around up here this weekend— my nephew‘s 9th is Monday, my niece‘s 5th is tomorrow— I can’t believe I forgot! My nephew’s going to Laser Quest with his buddies on Saturday, and we’re having a family party on Monday for my niece.
On Sunday, a neighbour kid has a birthday party going on. And I think there’s someone else I know who has a birthday around this time, but I can’t remember who.
Must have something to do with hot, sweaty fun in August!
Web Stuff!
In an effort to try to reduce the amount of spam I get, I’ve been going through the exercise of removing ALL mailto: tags from my web site. No easy feat considering how many pages I have; I’m very thankful for “Search and Replace” software.
Anyway, as I’ve been working on it, I’ve been thinking “I need a section for livejournal stuff.” This can be a place where all the pictures I want to show in my livejournal can go, separate from any other section of my web.
I can create some archive pages where I can save old livejournal entries, just in case they decide to start cleaning out the actual livejournal database(s).
And I was thinking just now, “I can also create a page of links for my livejournal cyberstalking!” It can be a page with links to the journals of people I want to keep an eye on but don’t want to list as a friend. Hey, it’s NOT stalking if they know about it!
