I mean, REALLY… what the hell is going on these days?
- Well, in no particular order:
- April 25th+: Convergence 9 in Las Vegas. I still haven’t done anything about going, even though it’s just a little over two months away. I haven’t had a chance to discuss it further with a certain someone.
- February 21st+: Ski trip near Algonquin Park. I will be cross-country skiing for the first time in my life! Wish me luck.
- There’s “trivia” and then there’s TRIVIA! It is absolutely amazing what you will find when you stumble upon someone’s live journal!
- This afternoon: I’m going with a friend to get me “outfitted” for the Ski Trip. While I’m out, I might even pick up some new every-day clothes, since my weight is back on the downward trend.
- February 11th: Doctor’s appointment to check on the progress of my blood pressure. I’m hoping for good news, which means I may be able to come off the medication. It’s not much, but I’d rather not have to take anything on a regular basis.
- February 15th+: Going to visit my folks for the weekend. A certain someone is supposed to be coming with me, but since I haven’t spoken to her in over a week I haven’t been able to confirm or firm up the travel plans. Actually, since I haven’t even gotten an e-mail from her, I’m starting to worry a bit. If there’s anything I hate worse than trying to date someone who lives out of town, it’s trying to date someone who tends to cocoon!
- Xoozland Bathroom Renovations: I purchased the new sink (ON SALE for only $25!!) and faucet set, and I have the materials to make the countertop, the only thing remaining is to puzzle out how to build the base cabinet. Two or three possibilities exist, including just mounting the countertop directly to the walls and have a curtain covering up what’s below.
- Xoozland Mortgage Renewal: Now HERE’s a nifty piece of Great News!! I renewed my mortgage for one year at the incredibly low rate of 4.40%!!! My current rate is 5.95%! I’m going to keep my monthly payments exactly as they are now, which won’t make any difference to me, so I’ll be able to pay off even more of the principal!
- DAMN! I just noticed Tippe blew over in the wind again. I don’t really want to lash her to the rack, but I may be forced to if this keeps up. At least she’s not up high, so it’s more like just rolling off the rack on to the ground rather than actually falling down.
- DAMN! DAMN!! I just felt a bit of a dizzy spell… that is NOT GOOD. Of course, it could just be because it’s noon and I need to have lunch. My question now is: do I eat something here, or wait until I go downtown?
- A Ripping Good Time: I’m having fun with my new toy. (Did I mention that? No? I guess I wrote the journal entry, but had server trouble and it never got posted. Stay tuned for details.) I never quite realized how much weird-assed music I collected over the years. Anybody every hear of “Taxxi”? or “Toyah”? or “UJ3RK5”? or “T-Slam”? or “City Boy”? I have discovered a few gems, too, such as an original North American pressing of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, “a cantata with full orchestra and pop choir. Libretto Enclosed. Conceived by the same creative talents that composed Jesus Christ Superstar,” that is so old it doesn’t even have a copyright date on it!
And that is pretty much what the hell is going on these days.
