Here’s a minor update report on the deck. There hasn’t been a lot of physical progress since the last update, but there’s been some intellectual and emotional progress.
The corner of the stairs has been bothering me; I just couldn’t figure out IF never mind HOW it was going to fit together… Well, yesterday, I put down some boards temporarily just so I could see how things were going to fit. It looks like they actually will!
UNFORTUNATELY, I’m going to have to custom build two stair stringers (as indicated in the photo) because of the way the angles work out. And to do so I’m going to need an entire day of clear warm weather, WHICH MEANS that I’m going to have to wait until spring to complete that bit of the deck!
