It’s been an interesting and busy day.
This morning, I put the finishing touches on Buy My Chapbook …one more time by Timothy Carter, soon to be published by Badinage Publications! It went to the printer today, and I’m hoping to have it back mid-week, ready for a launch at a reading Tim is taking part in on October 27th.

Then I had to go into the office for an hour or so to check on some changes that the network people were making. Actually, they were putting back things they took out back in June. Idiots! Someone whined that they couldn’t get access to the Sekrit Server, so instead of investigating the IP Addresses in question, the network people just got rid of ALL filters, basically eliminating the Security Measures that were in place! Arrrrrrgh!!!
After that, I came home and that’s when the Weather Gods started taunting me. I was out working on the deck, making slow progress, and it started to rain. Well, not really rain as such, but it has been in the forecast for showers later in the day. So when it started to sprinkle, I packed up all the power tools and went inside. But then it didn’t rain after all. So I went back outside. And it started sprinkling again. So I packed up all the power tools and went inside. But then it didn’t rain again. So out I go again. Sprinkle. Pack. Inside. No rain. Outside. Repeat. You get the idea.
As things turned out, we never did get that rain; just those few sprinkles. I managed to do the power tool stuff I needed to get done, and was able to make a lot of progress. The deck is almost entirely framed now! I have some more fiddly bits to think about, and some more parts to get at the deck materials store, but I think it’s actually going to be a deck soon.
Oh, my! Whatever am I going to do with my time once the deck is done???
