…when you don’t know what you’re hungry for?
At this very moment, I’m in quite a blah mood. It’s the middle of the afternoon, I’ve been quite diligent in working away at recreating mainframe screen capture files– 37 of them at last count– and am now facing the daunting and utterly mind-numbingly boring task of documenting them all.
And to top it all off, I’ve got a craving for something sweet and fruity– my mind is tracking back to that tasty bowl of watermelon bits sitting in my fridge at home– but there’s just nothing of interest to satisfy that craving around here at the office.
Perhaps a Creamsicle– vanilla ice cream dipped in a thick coating of orange popsicle– is the ticket to satisfy my afternoon ice cream fix and yet be relatively light on my stomach. (I’m trying to watch my girlish figure, don’t you know!) But do you think I could FIND a Creamsicle anywhere in this crappy shopping concourse? Thick, fattening, Hog-and-Daws: Yes. Fruity ice-water treats: Yes. Creamsicle, or anything even resembling it: Nope.
I need SOMETHING to give me a blast of energy to get me through the rest of the day without falling asleep at, on, or under my desk! But what?
