The following is from my Little Notebook, entry date: February 1, 2000. I can’t remember if I’ve used this in The Zero Card or any other publication.
She looks like the Michelin Man in that winter coat of hers, all puffed up like that. Except that her coat is black. A little black Michelin Girl. With long dark blonde hair. Yes, her hair is dark blonde; it’s too light to be called light brown, yet it’s too dark to really be called blonde. It’s almost the colour of straw you’d expect to find lying around a barnyard at this time of year. Perhaps in the summer her hair gets lighter? Now I know what they mean when they say “she has hair the colour of straw.” Depends on the season, as I suppose do most things in life.
