BACKGROUND: The theme for the July issue of The Zero Card is “Losing It,” all about virginity and having sex for the first time. Of course, that also refers not just to the very first time you had sex, but also the first time you had sex with a particular person! I’m looking for articles, so if you have a story you want to tell, let me know!
FOREGROUND: Here’s a few thoughts going through my head at the moment, which will probably become the basis for my main article:
As near as I can tell, everybody remembers the first time they had sex: who it was with, where they were, how it felt, and so on. But I cannot remember! Oh, I remember WHO it was, and I have a vague idea of where it was and how old we were. But I cannot for the life of me remember the details of that very first time.
I have come to learn that I was apparently very young, at least when compared to other people my current age. And I also know that my period of sexual activity lasted only a few years, whereupon I became celebate (as much out of choice as by circumstance) for about 17 years until I once again lost my virginity. That’s me, the Born-Again Virgin! (Being a male, the concept of virginity is more emotional than physical…)
[and this is where my current train of thought leaves me. What can you expect when I’m sitting here at work? Speaking of which, dealing with THAT is a different issue!]
