Okay, so suddenly I find myself in One of Those Moods…
It’s been a miserable day overall. There’s really no other way to put it. First, there’s the weather… for the past two days, it has been a combination of heavy rain with thunder storms and overly hot and muggy in between more rain. All of which means I can’t do any more work on the front garden today. Something about not wanting to use power tools in the rain, I guess. Call me a wimp, but electrocution is just not one of the fetishes I am into!
Speaking of fetishes, another reason for my weird mood at the moment is I just discovered some more “net porn” of a former friend of mine. (I’d mention names, and she has a livejournal account, but I don’t think she knows I have one now… and I think I’d like to keep it that way, at least for the time being.) Oddly enough, a few of the pictures aren’t too horrid!
Okay, so it’s been rainy all day. Do you think I could have gotten any work done INSIDE the house? Something like the already late June issue of The Zero Card? Well, I tried. But no matter what I did, I either got side-tracked by food or television, or just plain lost my creative train of thought. *sigh*
And of course there’s my current lack of female companionship to deal with as well. My life is a soap opera… aren’t we all? Which is why I don’t need to watch them on tv! I thought about calling one of several female-type friends, just to see if they were around and could be talked into doing something– anything– with me today. Then I realized that I was probably just trying to avoid working on The Zero Card, and didn’t call any of them. Chances are they would have wanted me to go over to their place… which meant having to take extra time away from my attempts to work on The Zero Card!
In the end, I finally DID manage to get some work done on The Zero Card. A few more finishing touches, and it might actually hit the streets tomorrow! That will depend on whether I can get it done in time to sneak into the office to use the photocopier (you didn’t hear that confession from me, even though I do use my own paper when I do it) and then drive downtown to distribute it before the few stores it’s at close. (ugh, there must be a better way to write that last sentence, but I’m not going to bother to try to fix it now!)
