Once again, I was almost attached by hornets! I guess my theory that they might be strays was wrong. Fortunately, not DEAD wrong! There was OBVIOUSLY a nest somewhere in the shed. I thought it was probably just inside the door.

So into the house I go looking for some bug zapper stuff. Ants? Check. Creepy crawlies? Check. Wasps and hornets? NONE!! ARRGGGHH!

Now what to do? So into the car I hop and drive off to the drug store, get my prescription filled, and get some Wasp and hornet stuff.

Back to the shed, carefully reading the directions, instructions, warnings, precautions, and alerts on the can, I try to figure out how I’m going to be able to blast these bastards if the nest is on the inside wall of the shed right above the door… When I get there, I discover, much to my relief, that there IS a nest in the shed, and it is on the ROOF about a foot away from the door.

I crouch down OUTSIDE the shed, take aim, and blast away, thoroughly soaking the nest from a safe distance, watching the poor buggers splat dead on the ground.

As much as I hate to kill things and use chemical pesticides around my yard, I hate getting stung and dying even more.

At least I was able to deal with this without having to rush to the hospital again!

I was out in the yard and went into the shed to get my bike so I could go for a ride with Annie this afternoon, and I was (almost) attacked by hornets!!
