{"id":911,"date":"2009-10-01T09:41:00","date_gmt":"2009-10-01T09:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/badinage.com\/journal\/?p=911"},"modified":"2009-10-01T09:41:00","modified_gmt":"2009-10-01T09:41:00","slug":"the-mystery-of-my-lunch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/badinage.com\/journal\/2009-10\/911-the-mystery-of-my-lunch","title":{"rendered":"The MYSTERY of MY Lunch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The ongoing saga of what B-R-C packs for me to take to work for lunch&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s Episode &#8211; Thursday, October 1, 2009.<br \/>\n(And I thought APRIL First was All Fool&#8217;s Day!)<\/p>\n<ul><b>IN my &#8220;lunch bag&#8221;:<\/b><\/p>\n<li>one container of black grapes (or large Kalimata olives, I really can&#8217;t tell), leftover from yesterday;<\/li>\n<li>one container of frozen leftover-something-or-other. It looks like it might be noodles and chicken and a roll;<\/li>\n<li>the remains of one container of Artichoke &#038; Asiago Dip, with the lid not on firmly;<\/li>\n<li>half a bottle of Diet Pepsi, leftover from last night&#8217;s dinner-on-the-go for school;<\/li>\n<li>small container of Apple Blackberry yoghurt;<\/li>\n<li>one large rubber band;<\/li>\n<li>the dog&#8217;s grooming comb;<\/li>\n<li>the remains of the open bag of taco chips, thoughtfully put into another plastic bag, so they spilled into it instead;<\/li>\n<li>the remains of the baggie of veggies, leftover from yesterday;<\/li>\n<li>one Granny Smith apple, leftover from yesterday.<\/li>\n<p><b>AND in the bag (left in the car) that my &#8220;lunch bag&#8221; was in:<\/b><\/p>\n<li>one LARGE jar of turmeric, at least 500g worth!<\/li>\n<li>one large bottle of some spice or another (I didn&#8217;t take a close look at the label)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So you may wonder what prompted this bizzarity? She found the empty beer bottle that I stashed in her purse! But it was the empty beer bottle that SHE left on the table next to the computer in MY office where she shouldn&#8217;t have been drinking it in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe with the turmeric she was trying to CURRY FAVOUR with me?<br \/>\n(<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/curry_favor\">Curry Favour<\/a>  <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Curries\">Curry<\/a>  <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/curry_powder\">Curry Powder<\/a>  <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Turmeric)\">Turmeric<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Or maybe she thought the dog needed another CURRY COMB?<br \/>\n(<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Curry_comb\">Curry Comb<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>At least Life is Interesting!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ongoing saga of what B-R-C packs for me to take to work for lunch&#8230; Today&#8217;s Episode &#8211; Thursday, October 1, 2009.
