I have what I feel is a lot of work to do around here, and I would feel bad if I didn’t get it all… or at least a major portion of it… done before I have to go back to the grind.

I really shouldn’t complain, and could probably explain my lack of energy as a result of the amount I actually DID get accomplished so far this weekend!

Friday: We had some important changes to make to the system, and it went quite well with very few hitches. I even learned some new sekrit information about the system which might come in handy for next time (if there is one). We shut down the system at noon, I did my back ups (safety first!), then I got on the phone with the vendor and we made the changes, did the testing, and were happy and ready to go home by about 2:45!

Saturday: I took my sister-in-law to Humber Nursery to get the plants for the front garden. I spent $325 there, and another $50 at Home Despot for some more concrete block. We left her house about 11:30 am, and she started planting at 6 pm. I had to spend the afternoon finishing up the blockwork– some decision making, and fiddly bits to work out– but when all is said and done I think I can be quite proud of my efforts. (pictures to follow at some point)

Sunday: Today I treated myself to a relaxing day. I started by staying in bed and reading until noon, and watching some movies on TV. I finally managed to get dressed and get out of the house around 3:30, and hacked away at the overgrowth of vegetation in my driveway until almost 8 o’clock!

But there’s still a lot to do. I mean there’s always going to be stuff to do, but my current concern is to do as much clean up around the place to fill the dumpster and get rid of it soon.

Fortunately it is a long weekend and I have tomorrow off.
