Orson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is with much sadness that I report the death of my dear friend Orson (Welles) Budgie.<\/p>\n<p>I discovered Orson lying on the bottom of his cage when I got home from work on Monday. The exact time or cause of death is not known, although he was of advanced age.<\/p>\n<p>He had been with me for almost all of his 11 years, and enjoyed a very long and happy life. <\/p>\n<p>Orson was predeceased by his buddy Ridley (Scott) Budgie, who <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.livejournal.com\/users\/xooz2\/123849.html\">died in August of 2003<\/a>. Both will be sadly missed.<\/p>\n<p>Rest In Peace, Dear One!<\/p>\n<p>(The best guess life expectancy for budgies is about 7 to 8 years, although some have been known to live as long as 20 years.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is with much sadness that I report the death of my dear friend Orson (Welles) Budgie.
