TIME!<\/font><\/p>\n

As in “I wish I had more TIME to do…” and you can fill in the blanks.<\/p>\n

Today, for example, I’m working the Late Shift. Late Shift used to be from about three o’clock until 11:00 p.m. But the client decided to change their operating hours, so now I can only work until ten because the client boss doesn’t want me to be the only one in the office late at night. (Not that it makes much difference since everybody else is up on the 8th floor and I’m down here on the 5th, usually alone anyway!) So that means I come in around two o’clock. Which means that instead of taking advantage of free parking in the TTC lot after 3:00 p.m., I now have to pay for parking for the first hour or so and move my car after the lot opens and a few spots clear out.<\/p>\n

So that takes at least an hour out of my “do stuff at home” time in the morning on the days I work the Late Shift.<\/p>\n

Then there’s Karma, the Little Pisser, who is cute but needs to learn to communicate when she has to go outside to pee. And she also needs to learn to focus on the task at hand instead of being distracted by one of the many toys and\/or sticks she’s left around the backyard from the last session outside. Fortunately, we’re planning to get rid of the “carpet” in my office upstairs!<\/p>\n

I’m sure the time I spent with her, both the Quality Play\/Walkies Time and the “Fuck! Pooch, What Do You Want Now?” Time, ate up another two hours or more of my “do stuff at home” time.<\/p>\n

Now maybe it’s just MY fault that I have so much that I need to get done. Today’s list of stuff to do at home during my “do stuff at home” time included: burning data back ups of Gwendoline (the old but still working computer) before she decides to join her sister, the late Pandora; and begin organizing the office upstairs by sorting through and putting the Magazine Collection (I collect first issues) into boxes for storage.<\/p>\n

B-R-C would have liked me to also clean the house, but I didn’t even have time to eat lunch. Fortunately, lunch was provided at work today, so I got some leftover lasagnes.<\/p>\n

Maybe the doctor will give me a prescription for something when I see her next week to find out why I’ve been having dizzy spells…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
