The floor refinishing people are supposed to come in the morning to start work on the living room.<\/p>\n
If you’ve ever been to Xoozland, you may remember that vomitous<\/b> brown-beige wall-to-wall carpet. It’s almost all gone now, and will be before I go to sleep tonight!<\/p>\n
But I’m worried for my little feathered friend Orson<\/b>. I wanted to get him out of the house while the work is being done. Budgies have tender respiratory systems, and I didn’t want him exposed to the possibly dangerous fumes.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately<\/b>, when I tried to prepare him for the 45-minute drive across town, he got extremely upset and flustered. He squawked loudly for the entire minute I had a blanket wrapped around his cage; I didn’t even get a chance to move his cage to the car! He’s getting on in years now, so I decided it would be better for him to stay in the house than to face the stress of the trip.<\/p>\n
I’ll have to do something to minimize his risk of exposure to the fumes, and I’ll try to spend as much time as I can with him while the work is being done.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
