While on our Annual Biking Holiday<\/b> over the weekend, tammy2tall<\/a> gave me a birthday card that literally brought tears to my eyes.<\/p>\n

On the cover is a photo of two empty chairs on a sunlit porch, and the caption reads “On the Porch, Many Years From Now”. Inside is the following poem:<\/p>\n

You will sit on the swing,
\n   I will sit in the chair,
\nAnd the fragrance of lilacs
\n   Will hang in the air.
\nI will tell you a story
\n   I’ve told you before,
\nWe will laught (like the last time)
\n   And tell a few more.
\nThen perhaps we will say it,
\n   And perhaps we will not,
\nBut both our old hearts
\n   Will be thinking this thought—
\nThat it’s good to be known,<\/u><\/i>
\n   And it’s good to be there,<\/u><\/i>
\nWhere the fragrance of lilacs
\n   Hangs in the air.<\/font><\/p>\n

and she underlined the two lines indicated.<\/p>\n
