I also sent a short note saying hello, and asking her to return the stuff I lent her.<\/p>\n<p><!--more ...continued--><br \/>\nIn June of 1994, I got a reply from her, and while it was not quite the reply that I expected, I was not too surprised by it. When I got home from work that day, there were two phone messages waiting. The second was from Mel.<\/p>\n<p>She said, &#8220;Thanks for the letter and the three strikes against me. You didn&#8217;t seem to mind it at the time.
