{"id":353,"date":"2003-04-17T00:24:00","date_gmt":"2003-04-17T00:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/badinage.com\/journal\/?p=353"},"modified":"2003-04-17T00:24:00","modified_gmt":"2003-04-17T00:24:00","slug":"i-did-it-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/badinage.com\/journal\/2003-04\/353-i-did-it-2","title":{"rendered":"I did it!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m kind of surprised, mainly because all my life I&#8217;ve been hearing about how difficult it is to do, and how <b>everybody<\/b> has their own recipe and own method and own preferences on how they like them to turn out, but you see <b>Passover started tonight<\/b> and since I wasn&#8217;t going to a <b>seder<\/b> anywhere, I had to feed myself, so <font COLOR=\"#AA0000\"><b>I made<\/b> chicken soup with <b>matzoh balls<\/b>.<\/font> Okay, so the stuff I made actually came out of a box, but I had to measure the water <i>(&#8220;2.5 quarts&#8221;&#8230; what the HELL is a &#8220;quart&#8221; anyway? Oh, and while I&#8217;m pondering that, I need to realize that the package means AMERICAN quarts, which are different from the <b>real<\/b> IMPERIAL quarts used here in Canada&#8230;)<\/i> and pour the packet of soup mix into it when it got to boiling. And while that was heating up, I had to get two eggs and 1\/3 cup of oil and stir that up with the packet of matzoh ball mix, and when it was ready form the balls and drop them into the boiling soup. But the point is <font COLOR=\"#0000AA\"><b>I DID IT!<\/b> And it didn&#8217;t taste too bad<\/font>, and the matzoh balls didn&#8217;t fall apart and were really light and fluffy when they were done.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone want to come over for a bowl of chicken soup and matzoh balls?
