In one scene, he eats a &#8220;box lunch&#8221; consisting of a cheese sandwich and an apple.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also my Dad&#8217;s lunch between shows, so he had it with him when we met up after the matinee. It looked odd to me, because it was cut into quarters&#8230; as squares, not triangles like I normally do. Dad said that because it was a prop for the show, it was done in the style that would have been appropriate for the time period!<\/p>\n<p>We had an interesting discussion about this with my Mom at dinner. She said that cutting triangles is a relatively modern thing. She also said they used to cut triangles for boys, and squares for girls. We made lots of jokes about dangerous pointy triangle sandwiches!<\/p>\n<p><font SIZE=+2 COLOR=\"#FF0000\"><b>Question:<\/b> How do YOU cut your sandwiches?<\/font><\/p>\n<p>If you cut them <font COLOR=\"#FF0000\">into quarters<\/font>, do you do it <b>cross-wise, like a plus-sign &#8220;+&#8221;<\/b>? Or <b>diagonally, like a letter &#8220;X&#8221;<\/b>?<\/p>\n<p>If you cut them <font COLOR=\"#FF0000\">in half<\/font>, do you do it <b>cross-wise, making two rectangles<\/b>?
