So I booted up Gwendoline<\/i> this evening, and it was with a great gnashing of teeth— or at least what sounded like that— coming from the area where the hard drive is! oh, oh!<\/b> It sounds like I’m about to experience the Total Joy of Hard Disk Crash.<\/p>\n

Fortunately<\/b>, mainly because I am a Good Computer Geek<\/i>, I have backed up to CD-R most of the contents of the drives associated with that physical hard disk. Just to be on the safe side, though, I have also copied the complete contents from that machine to Pandora<\/i>. Silly me… I sent everything over to the “My Documents” folder… and learned the hard way that you cannot put over 15 Gb worth of data on what remains of a 5 Gb partition!<\/b><\/p>\n

Now I’m running a complete Level Three Diagnostic<\/b> on Gwendoline<\/i>, just to A) identify if there are any real problems, and B) do some system maintenance which will help extend the life expectancy and put off the Impending Doom<\/b> with its great gnashing of teeth and the Total Joy of Hard Disk Crash.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
