I will be going to visit my folks in the morning. Since I haven’t spoken to a certain someone<\/i> to firm up the travel plans— like what time we’re supposed to hit the road, or even if she’s going at all!— I can only presume at this point that I will be making the trip solo. Frustrating, in more ways than one, but I must sadly admit not surprising.<\/p>\n
On the up side, it now means I’ll have room in the car to bring back the rocking chair<\/b>!<\/p>\n What I think I’m going to end up doing is playing “wait and see” on both those issues. \nIn other semi-related news, it also looks like I’m not going to Las Vegas for Convergence<\/b> this year. Two reasons, mainly:
\n— First, I can only presume at this point that if I go I would be making the trip solo. I haven’t even had a chance to present the reasons you gave<\/a> why she should go with me.
\n— Second, as events south of the border heat up toward what I expect will be an inevitable Gulf War II<\/i>, I’m getting a little more nervous about the prospect of flying to the States, or anywhere outside of Canada for that matter.<\/p>\n
