Well, it’s Tuesday, if that’s any consolation for anything. For some reason, or for many reasons, it just seems like today is a gloriously horrible day<\/b>.<\/p>\n

I think it really all began last night at trivia. It was an Odd Week, so we were destined to win. Our captain made the observation that this season we seem to have been alternating weeks between Great Games (win) and Really Bad Games (loss). Since we really tanked to the extreme last week… we won this week. We were playing a cross-divisional game, playing the team at the top of the other division. I guess that means we are situated exactly where we should be: at the bottom of the first division!<\/p>\n

After the game, I hopped on the subway to go back to my car, and on the way home, I stopped at the grocery store to get some groceries. Milk, margarine, salad, fruit, shredded cheese to toss on top of the salad, peanuts for my local squirrel friends (it’s Winter, so I have to help out the critters and birds!), frozen veggies, pop, and low-sugar\/low-fat ice cream.<\/p>\n

When I got home, I watched the last bit of CSI on TNN, and then went upstairs to check my e-mail and stuff.<\/p>\n

I haven’t heard from Alex<\/a> in over a week, except for a brief note to say she, too, was having a Week from Heck last week. I’m hoping I haven’t heard from her because she’s been so utterly busy with all that’s going on in her life at the moment— well, she IS packing up everything and moving from British Columbia to Ontario come December 1st!— and not because of anything I’ve said or done, or not said or not done.<\/p>\n

All in all, I probably should have gone to bed a lot earlier than I did. All in all, I probably should go to bed EVERY NIGHT a lot earlier than I do, but that’s an entirely different issue!<\/p>\n

Then I had to get up this morning. I didn’t really want to. I had to drive to work this morning, because I am going for a Personal Training session after work, and won’t be able to get home to get my stuff beforehand. I only wanted to drive to the subway, but the $4\/day parking lot was full. So I had to drive all the way here, all the way across town, and find a $3\/half-hour ($18\/day) parking up here. What that also means is that I have the joyful experience of getting stuck in traffic on the way home later today…<\/p>\n

Once I finally got to the office, and resigned myself to how crappy a day it is going to be, I started to feel better. Heck, I even had a nice conversation with a woman at the coffee station (not something I normally do), and she gave me one of her waffles!<\/p>\n
