{"id":162,"date":"2002-10-13T12:59:00","date_gmt":"2002-10-13T12:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/badinage.com\/journal\/?p=162"},"modified":"2002-10-13T12:59:00","modified_gmt":"2002-10-13T12:59:00","slug":"happy-turkey-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/badinage.com\/journal\/2002-10\/162-happy-turkey-day","title":{"rendered":"Happy Turkey Day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, technically <b>tomorrow<\/b> is <i>Turkey Day<\/i> since that&#8217;s when <b>Thanksgiving Day<\/b> is officially, but <!--more I'm having turkey today!--> in a few hours I&#8217;ll be sitting down to a turkey dinner with my brother and his family. I think Mom and Dad will be going to my other brother&#8217;s place for turkey, since it&#8217;s closer to where they live. And my sister will probably be cooking a turkey for her new boyfriend and his kids, though I haven&#8217;t confirmed that since I&#8217;m not currently speaking to her because of a hissy fit she took a few weeks ago. Anyway&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the things I am thankful for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>My family<\/b>, which is dysfunctional in its inherent <b>lack<\/b> of true dysfunctionality!<\/li>\n<li><b>My friends<\/b>.
