{"id":113,"date":"2002-09-07T12:27:00","date_gmt":"2002-09-07T12:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/badinage.com\/journal\/?p=113"},"modified":"2002-09-07T12:27:00","modified_gmt":"2002-09-07T12:27:00","slug":"favourite-flavours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/badinage.com\/journal\/2002-09\/113-favourite-flavours","title":{"rendered":"Favourite Flavours?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I was nibbling on a bit of cheese last night, enjoying it quite muchly, and I started to think about what some of my favourite flavours are&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>In no particular order:<\/p>\n<li><b>Extra old cheddar cheese.<\/b> I don&#8217;t mean the stuff you get in the grocery store that&#8217;s marked &#8220;Old Cheddar&#8221;, which is stronger than your &#8220;Mild Cheddar&#8221; and &#8220;Medium Cheddar&#8221; cheeses. I mean <b>really old<\/b> cheddar cheese, where it tells you how many years it has aged. Seven to 10 years old is simply superb!<\/li>\n<li><b>Watermelon.<\/b> One of my all-time favourites. But it&#8217;s got to be fresh watermelon, and not just watermelon flavouring.<\/li>\n<li><font COLOR=\"#0000AA\"><i>Ok, while I&#8217;m at it, let me just say that I really <b>dislike &#8220;Artificial Flavours.&#8221;<\/b> I have come to realize that they are now a part of our modern society, but I think they taste more Artificial than Flavour!<\/i><\/font><\/li>\n<li><b>Corn on the cob.<\/b> During fresh corn season, I can eat 5 to 8 cobs a day, and still want more sometimes!<\/li>\n<li><b>Raspberry.<\/b> In just about any context: fresh berries, jam, pie, candy.<\/li>\n<li><b>Barbecued Beef.<\/b> While I don&#8217;t have it very often because of my diet, when I get a chance to have a really well-cooked, well-barbecued piece of beef, like a nice steak, for example, I really enjoy it.<\/li>\n<li><b>Tim Hortons &#8220;Canadian Creme&#8221; doughnuts.<\/b> IF I&#8217;m going to have a doughnut&#151; particularly with my tea for the drive home after an evening of trivia or klubbing&#151; then I will usually have this tasty morsel. It&#8217;s like a &#8220;Boston Creme&#8221; doughnut (cake doughnut filled with custard and topped with a coating of chocolate icing) except that it has maple icing on top.\n<\/ul>\n<p>Well, that&#8217;s all I can think of <i>at the moment<\/i>. Hmmmm.
