This bites!

Or perhaps not?

In today’s news, we learn that Sony puts AIBO to sleep.

“It’s the oldest story in the book: Robotic dog turns up on your doorstop looking cute and winsome, learns a few words and tricks, and then gets canceled just as you’ve gotten to love it.”

Later on, it mentions that “the product inspired an online fan base (such as Sparky’s Hovel) that posted pictures taken by their dogs, which–unsurprisingly, given Aibo’s diminutive stature–often tended to be of ankles or table legs.”

In other, possibly related, news, we learn that Felicity Huffman had to be taught how to hold a penis for new movie Transamerica.

The blonde actress, who plays a transsexual in the film, says she had no idea how to manoeuvre the phoney phallus, which she nicknamed Andy. She revealed: “I had to wear this water bottle under my arm and squeeze it. The whole thing was actually terrifying. “In hindsight, it’s very funny, as I had to take lessons in how to hold Andy the right way. I mean, how do you hold him properly when you pee? Which hand do you use?”

Sadly, there are no photos to accompany the story.
