So I’m sitting here waiting for an e-mail with some answers to some questions, I just got back from a workout (using up my “lunch hour”), and there’s not a lot I can really do until I get those answers, so I might as well play with this thing.
I have two** friends: one is on LIVEjournal, the other is on DEADjournal. The LIVE friend says I should go there because it’s better and there are more people. The DEAD friend hasn’t given an opinion.
Given that DEADjournal came out of the source code from LIVEjournal, I figure them to be pretty much the same creature. Different sides of the coins, perhaps.
In any case, boils down to two things. First, do I care one way or the other? Second, do I **REALLY** want to have a public journal.
I’m used to writing in my journal book. Writing long hand, the old fashioned way, putting pen to paper and smearing ink all over the place. I’ve been doing so for about 15 years now, less so in the last bunch of them, mainly because life has a habit of getting in the way. I estimated that in the first SIX years of writing in my journal(s), I had written an AVERAGE of OVER 100,000 WORDS PER YEAR!!
I can, at times, if the mood is just right, go on and on and on forever. Sometimes I write good stuff. Other times I write crap. Sometimes, a lot of times, it is HIGHLY personal stuff, that I really don’t want anybody reading. If THAT is the case, why bother with an on-line journal system?
Well, my break is over. Time to get back to work.
