I picked up some new CDs on my lunch hour today, and got a couple of “nice finds” (things I bought because they looked interesting, not because I knew what I was getting):
- Evanescence Fallen. Kind of gothy, kind of moody, kind of mellow.(What can I say? I am NOT a music reviewer!)
- Nick Drake Way To Blue: An Introduction to Nick Drake. The cover on this one has lots of ivy and stuff, and the sticker said “Includes ‘Pink Moon’ as featured in a TV advertising campaign / Tel qu’annoncé à la télé. Turns out to be that really mellow song in the Volkswagen(?) commercial where the carload of friends is driving through the starlit countryside and when they get to the noisy roadhouse they were headed to, they decide to turn around because they enjoyed the drive better. This stuff is even mellower, and would be really nice to listen to curled up inside in front of a fire on a rainy day.
- t.A.T.u. 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane. Well, we know what this one is all about. It was just a matter of time before I got the CD.
In other news: I “side-stepped the Deck Project” last night… I finished the steps along the side of the deck! The weather is supposed to be great this weekend so there’s a chance I might even get the deck done!
