And how can I fix it??
My mail is stuck, and I can’t seem to unstick it. Or more likely, I tried to unstick it, and did something wrong by mistake.
It’s a Linux-/UNIX-based mail system. In the /var/mail directory, I see the “thatismymail” file which contains my messages (I’ve looked inside the file, and actually FTP’d it to my PC).
There is also a “thatismymail.lock” file of some 10 bytes, and a 0-byte “.thatismymail.pop” file in that directory. On previous occasions when my mail got stuck due to a broken connection between my PC mail client and the server, I just deleted the “.thatismymail.pop” file and everything was fine.
Now I can’t get either my mail client to connect, nor can I get pine to respond.
Do you have any advice or suggestions for me to try to fix this??
(I have no problem deleting the “thatismymail” file if I have to since I’ve extracted anything important from it already.)
