1. WHAT TIME DO YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING? The first alarm rings at 6:43 a.m.; the second alarm rings at 7:11 a.m.; I finally roll out of bed between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m., on a good day.
2. IF YOU COULD EAT LUNCH WITH ONE FAMOUS PERSON, WHO WOULD IT BE? Alive: Mary Stuart Masterson. Dead: Norman Maclaren.
3. GOLD OR SILVER? Silver.
4. WHAT WAS THE LAST FILM YOU SAW AT THE CINEMA? Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings (I think… it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a movie!
5. FAVOURITE TV SHOWS? Currently on: 24, CSI, Will & Grace. Past shows: Nash Bridges, Moonlighting, Mann & Machine.
6. WHAT DO YOU HAVE FOR BREAKFAST? According to my diet plan: Two starches, one milk, one fruit. In other words, a bowl of cereal (usually Kellogg’s “Vive” and “All Bran Buds”) with SOY milk, and a banana or an apple.
7. WHO WOULD YOU HATE TO BE LEFT IN A ROOM WITH? My former photography teacher (I hate that guy!) …and I actually once HAD to have dinner with him since my parents are friends with a woman he is dating, and didn’t know my history with whats-his-name!
8. CAN YOU TOUCH YOUR NOSE WITH YOUR TONGUE? Yes.
9. WHAT INSPIRES YOU? Music, sometimes; Life and Love at other times.
10. WHAT’S YOUR MIDDLE NAME? Sorry, that’s classified information!
11. BEACH, CITY, OR COUNTRY? Country, the more pristine and untouched the better.
12. SUMMER OR WINTER? Summer, even when it’s sweltering.
13. FAVOURITE ICE CREAM? Tiger Tail, or Pistachio.
14. BUTTERED, SALTED OR PLAIN POPCORN? Salted. Avoid that artificial simulated butter substitute “Golden Topping” at the theatres… there’s enough grease in the popping oil.
15. FAVORITE COLOUR? Purple, then black, then red. Interestingly enough, my old high school’s colours were: Black, Heliotrope (aka purple), and Scarlet (aka red), representing the initials of the school’s original name. Also interestingly, I have a lot of rooms in my house painted light blue, maybe because it’s such a calming colour.
16. FAVORITE CAR? Toyota Tercel. It’s what I drive, but I don’t really have a “favourite, dream car” as such.
17. FAVORITE SANDWICH FILLING? Tuna salad.
18. TRUE LOVE? I thought so a couple of times, but it never survived. How about LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT? I can honestly say I’ve encountered that only once (and I don’t just mean lust and infatuation), but sadly she’s no longer a part of my life.
19. WHAT CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU DESPISE? Stupidity, especially as different from Ignorance.
20. FAVORITE FLOWER? Pink carnations, maybe.
21. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAD A BIG WIN IN THE LOTTERY? Rebuild my house; or move to the country, retire early, and expand my publishing and photography interests.
22. FIZZY OR STILL WATER AS A DRINK? Water as water: plain.
23. WHAT COLOR IS YOUR BATHROOM? I just finished repainting it: Flyaway Blue, which is somewhere between “Robin’s Egg Blue” and “Orson Budgie Blue”, about as close to the budgie feather as I could easily find. White trim. Black carpet. UGLY almond shower enclosure I did nothing about.
24. HOW MANY KEYS ON YOUR KEY RING? Four: two house keys, two office desk keys. I also have my car key on a separate ring. Oh, and the key to my bicycle and the back shed on another ring.
25. WHERE WOULD YOU RETIRE TO? Australia, maybe, or Vancouver, or the northern part of Southern Ontario.
26. CAN YOU JUGGLE? IF YES HOW MANY? No.
27. FAVORITE DAY OF THE WEEK? They are all about the same.
28. RED OR WHITE WINE? White. Or a White Zinfandel, which is actually a blush.
29. WHAT DID YOU DO FOR YOUR LAST BIRTHDAY? The same thing I’ll be doing for my next birthday: going on a biking holiday with tammy2tall! And having another Garden Party at Xoozland.
