Lesson Number One: In Home Renovations, watch out for the while you’re at its! They’ll get you every time!
Example: This weekend, I decided I’m going to do a “little more work” in the bathroom, and replace the sink, faucet, and vanity after all! After looking at it for a few days, it just wasn’t right to leave the crappy thing there! Maybe the new sink will be the one thing I can leave in place if/when I completely redo the bathroom after the upstairs renovations are complete?
I did some shopping today, and found I can get a pre-fab (49.5 wide x 22.5 deep, with backsplash) countertop at Rona/Lansing for about $50, a drop-in sink for about the same, and faucets from $20 to $160 depending on how fancy. The only think I haven’t figured out or priced is the vanity base.
