So it’s 10 o’clock in the morning, and I’m sitting here at my desk, plugging away at the mound of work to be done. I have to make some application changes and get them tested today so I can complete the implementation tomorrow.
It’s only the THIRD time I’ve made these changes… and overwritten the files with the previous versions as a result of a semi-related operation. No biggie, since now I know EXACTLY what changes to make, without any of the by-guess-and-by-gosh futzing around. Which means the actual work will go smoother now.
But in the back of my head is the realization that here we are, the first of the month again, and I’ve only JUST started putting the May issue of The Zero Card together! I guess some things never change, eh?
On the good side, I did the shoot for The Queen of Swords card. My friend Lynne agreed to model for me, but since she’s not into the Goth or Fetish things, we went with a bit more traditional look. She’s into the SCA, so we were able to do something with that and the costumes she had. We went out to a nearby park after work last Wednesday, and I shot both film and digital. We were done about 8, then I took a break for dinner, and I had the COMPLETED CARD IMAGE finished by 1:00 am!!
Have I mentioned lately that I ***LOVE*** my new digital camera??
I still have to write the main article, and fill the rest of the issue with stuff… shouldn’t be too hard this month with everything going on and a few things I have banked. But the trick is going to be thinking of that Heart-breaking Bitch, the Queen of Swords!
