All Gothed Up!

Last Saturday evening, B-R-C, a Certain Someone, and I got all dressed up to go out. I haven’t done this is SOOOO long, and it really felt good to finally have a chance.

B-R-C wore a beautiful black velvet dress, fishnet stockings, and Fluevog shoes. A Certain Someone wore a black velvet cocktail dress (that she picked up for a mere $4), accented with black roses in her hair. I wore a ruffled shirt, black vest and smoking jacket, my gorgeous cloak, and top hat. We looked terrific and people stared! I’ll try to post pix should they become available.

Why did we do this? To see “Edward Scissorhands” at the Hummingbird Centre, of course! As for the show itself, all I can say is that it was an ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY FABULOUS PIECE OF THEATRE!

“A Gothic fairytale. A moving love story. A dance spectacular. Matthew Bourne and New Adventures are back with their latest creation — a magical new stage adaptation of the classic Tim Burton motion picture Edward Scissorhands. Audiences across North America will be captivated by this unique production, as well as by the humor and charm of the leading character, Edward, an innocent soul forced to find his way in a world that doesn’t accept him.”

If you ever get a chance to see it, I highly recommend you go. It is impossible to think that you won’t be amazed!
