We should have tried this exercise back when the Toronto Dark Writers’ Group was still in existence (before it imploded in a huge puff of clashing egos!):
National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org/) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.
Too bad I hadn’t heard about this before the first of the month.
