On March 6, 2006, my dear friend Orson (Welles) Budgie died. Since then, poor Orson’s body has been lying in state awaiting the time when the ground has thawed, and we can give him a proper burial.
I will be having a “funeral” for him in the afternoon on Sunday, April 30. A short service with interment to follow will begin at 3:00 p.m. Orson will be laid to rest in our backyard next to his buddy Ridley (Scott) Budgie, who died in August of 2003.
At the same time, we will have a “memorial” service for all of our other long-gone but not forgotten furry and feathered friends. Ridley, Spiro, Puddin’, Hidey, Oliver, Christopher, Dryden, Beast, Bridie, Hobo, Quasi, Rusty, and Habibi, just to name a few.
Would you come and help lay Orson to rest?
If you aren’t able to attend in person, you can send me a note with the name of your departed friend(s), and I will mention them in our ceremony.
