It is with much sadness that I report the death of my dear friend Orson (Welles) Budgie.
I discovered Orson lying on the bottom of his cage when I got home from work on Monday. The exact time or cause of death is not known, although he was of advanced age.
He had been with me for almost all of his 11 years, and enjoyed a very long and happy life.
Orson was predeceased by his buddy Ridley (Scott) Budgie, who died in August of 2003. Both will be sadly missed.
Rest In Peace, Dear One!
(The best guess life expectancy for budgies is about 7 to 8 years, although some have been known to live as long as 20 years.)
