OUCH! — I pinched a nerve while portaging the canoe a couple of weeks ago. While I have regained the ability to grasp objects with my right hand, the index finger is giving me the most annoying combination of tingling and numbness. Things are too busy at the moment for me to do anything about it, but I might go see an acupuncturist (an ex-tenant) next week to see if she can fix it once and for all.
DAMN! — there was a power glitch at home the other night, and it seems the power supply on “Pandora” (my computer) has burned out! Between that and the problems I had UNinstalling Norton SystemWorks and getting around to install the new DVD burner (which I got for data back up purposes!) and the trouble I’ve had with the hard drives, I’m wondering if I should be looking into getting a new computer. GEEK-SPEAK: “Pandora” is a P4 1.6GHz machine with 256 Mb RAM, running Windows XP Home. With her out of commission, “Gwendoline” is taking up the slack; she’s a P1 166Mhz machine with a mere 64 Mb RAM, running Windows 95!!
OOPS! — We just had some new closets installed ($$$!) today. The ones in the bedroom are gorgeous. The one in the living room, which become an entry closet and help delineate the space, is a lot bigger than we expected. It’s exactly what we ordered, but we didn’t realize the actual dimensions! Poor Chocoholic is stressed out over it, trying to get the rooms back to normal or better. That’s not easy with a VERY ACTIVE little pooch chewing on everything in sight… EXCEPT for the two chew toys she’s SUPPOSED to be chewing!! And I can’t be there to help out because I’m working the Late Shift today.
