Wind chill warning for city of Toronto continued
Wind chills of minus 35 to minus 30 tonight into Friday morning.
This is a warning that extreme wind chill conditions are imminent or Occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions… Listen for updated statements.
Bitterly cold Arctic air is flooding into the district from the north.
Tonight temperatures will drop to well below minus 20 and in combination with northerly winds of about 15 km/h will cause wind chills to reach minus 35 to minus 30 which will last through Friday morning. Extreme caution is advised if outdoors as frostbite on exposed skin is possible in as little as 10 minutes.
Wind chills will improve Friday morning as the temperature rises slowly.
It was so cold out that I decided to drive Chocoholic all the way to her school and dropped her at the front door instead of going to the subway and making her take the bus from there. I have her bus pass (so I could get into the parking lot for free!), so I have to go pick her up again later today.
