Well, I’m back from my weekend trip to Plattsburgh, New York, where my younger brother was playing with the The Concert Band of Cobourg, the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Association Ontario, in the Battle of Plattsburgh Ceremonies.
The Battle of Plattsburgh
FIRE!
We must battle to save our picnic table!
See the brand new 1814 model Ford Mini-Van…
My older brother and I actually left town around 10:00 pm on Thursday night. Then, as we were travelling up the DVP, I suddenly remembered that I had left the water on at home! We turned around and went 40 km back to my house and then got back on the road again! Sheeeeeeesh! It was around one o’clock in the morning when we showed up at my younger brother’s house…
At 6:00 am, we had to get up, get showered, get dressed, get breakfast, and get out of the house by 7:15 in order to meet the buses in Cobourg by eight. My younger brother was travelling with the band on their bus, and we were part of the “Follow the Band” tour on another bus.
And to make the story a long weekend shorter, I spent most of the weekend sitting, or standing, or eating, or shopping. I’m pooped, I’m at work, and that’s about all there is to say about that.
