You may remember a couple weeks back, where I was fighting with the city to get a rebate payment for some work I had done at Xoozland.
My contact had told me on April 12th that she “personally mailed out the rebate cheque yesterday!”
I was wondering if “the cheque was in the mail,” or if the cheque really WAS in the mail?
THE CHEQUE FINALLY ARRIVED!! It came in on Tuesday just past, April 22nd, 2003. I was so excited that I immediately went out and walked to the nearest bank machine to deposit into my account right away. (I didn’t care that they spelled my last name incorrectly; I fought so long and hard to get the damned thing I didn’t want to worry about any further delays! So far there’s no sign of any problems from the bank.)
But I noticed the dates on the cheque and envelope. The cheque itemization portion had a transaction date of April 15, 2003, and the cheque itself and the envelope had a date of April 16, 2003! “Mailed it out YESTERDAY”???
Now I’m wondering what convoluted futuristic time traveling planet my contact is from!
