Double Bills

tammy2tall is coming over for a visit tonight, so after dinner— which might be Turkish or curry— we’re going to watch a video, since there’s nothing worth seeing at the second-run cinemas.

Her first choice would be Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, but I don’t have it on VHS. (I have it on DVD, but I don’t yet have a DVD player!)

Her alternate choices are The Warriors, or Escape from New York.

I have The Warriors but we’ve seen it before, and I don’t know if I’m quite ready to see it again. I don’t think I have Escape from New York, but I’m sure I could be talked into getting it, especially if I can find a deal on it and Escape from Los Angeles.

I was thinking those two make a great double bill. Kind of like watching Mad Max and The Road Warrior together.

It reminded me of 10 years ago when I did a series of “Movie Nights” at home…
