So there’s this dumpster in my driveway because I’m doing some more home renovations and will need to get rid of the junk from demolishing the old deck before I build the new one.
The demolition started yesterday morning, and was finished today. It went a lot smooother and easier than I expected. And now I have no deck!
I did move the stairs from the side of the deck to right in front of the back door, so at least I still have access that way.
Since I have the trivia season finals/banquet to attend Monday evening, measuring, staking and marking the positions for the new foundation posts will have to wait until at least Tuesday.
I also realize that I’m going to have to get rid of the dumpster before work in the new deck can actually begin (whoever does the posts will need to get their equipment into the backyard), so I’m probably going to do a bunch of other clean up jobs around the place to make full use of the dumpster while it’s here.
And after all that hard work, I’m ready for sleep…
